Soft Solutions, Inc. advises 4-Sight FAX customers using MultiTech's MT 5634 ZBA-USB-V.92 modem to install firmware version 2.32i, which supercedes version 2.32a. In addition to the features of version 2.32a, firmware version 2.32i allows the MT 5634 ZBA-USB-V.92 modem to remain active after a warm restart of Mac OS X. For customers who need to perform a remote or automatic restart of the 4-Sight FAX Server host computer, this is critical. Only the USB version of the MultiModem ZBA is affected.
To determine your current firmware level, you may use the Detect feature of 4-Sight FAX Server v7. When your modem is detected, look for Version 2.32a or Version 2.32i at the right end of line ATI0 under Technical Info.

If you see Version 2.27m, 2.32a or any version other than 2.32i, you should update to firmware version 2.32i using the Multi-Tech Flash Wizard firmware installer available below. If you are not on 4-Sight FAX v7, you may use the MultiTech Flash Wizard to detect the current firmware version of your modem. The Flash Wizard will show you the current firmware version of your modem ahead of your decision to proceed with the update. The update itself will take 5 to 8 minutes per modem.
Note: The Multi-Tech Systems Flash Wizard will not detect modems attached to a USB hub. Each modem must be connected directly a USB port on the computer.
Note: To avoid the possibility of a conflict with 4-Sight Fax Server, you may want to perform the firmware update on a different computer than your Fax Server. If you are performing the update on the fax server computer, be sure to quit 4-Sight Fax Server before you start the firmware update.

Note: After downloading MultiTechOSXFlashWizard.dmg, open it and drag or copy the MultiTech folder to {Home}/Documents. The MultiTech folder must be in your Documents folder when you launch the Flash Wizard. If you a performing this procedure on your fax server computer, you must quit 4-Sight Fax Server before running the Flash Wizard.

Download FlashWizard1076.zip, extract the contents and execute the FlashWiz1076.exe program, which is the InstallShield® Wizard for Windows.
After installation of the Multi-Tech Systems Flash Wizard is complete, copy or drag the ESQG232i.hex file to the C:\Program Files\Multi-Tech Systems\Flash Wizard folder.
Then, in the same folder, run Flash Wizard.exe to detect the USB modem and install the 2.32i firmware. If the firmware file ESQG232i.hex is not in the same folder as the Flash Wizard, an error "hex file not found" will appear when the Flash Wizard is launched.
